Villa Tango represents a comprehensive renovation of a family house in Mozirje, where the main goal was to create a modern and functional home that maintains a sense of warmth and connection to the existing space. The project combines thoughtful spatial design, natural materials, and timeless design solutions that allow residents to live comfortably through various stages of life.
The central living space connects the living room, dining area, and kitchen into a unified, open whole. The softly shaped arched opening creates a natural transition between the individual environments and adds a distinctive architectural character to the space. Light tones, wooden surfaces, and carefully planned lighting create a pleasant and calming atmosphere throughout the day.
Special attention was given to the creation of custom furniture. In the living area, the central role is taken by a library that adapts to the architecture of the attic space while also serving as a functional and aesthetic element. Built-in elements allow for optimal use of space without a feeling of overcrowding.
The attic part of the house is designed as a quieter private zone. Custom-made wardrobes follow the slope of the roof, while the open staircase and lightweight metal railing maintain a sense of spaciousness. Natural light highlights the textures of the wood and creates a pleasant environment for relaxation and everyday use.
The bathroom continues the design story of the entire home with a calming colour palette, clean lines, and contrasting black details. The spacious design, large shower cubicle, and integrated storage solutions combine functionality with a modern look.
The Villa Tango project is an example of a renovation where modern design does not overshadow the character of the existing house, but rather enhances it into a warm, sustainable, and timeless home.
